A Global Tradition of Remembrance
October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month, a time to break the silence and honor the millions of families impacted by loss.
On October 15, Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day, families around the world take part in the International Wave of Light, a global tradition where candles are lit at 7:00 PM Central in memory of babies gone too soon.
This year, No Foot Too Small is honored to host four Wave of Light gatherings:
Des Moines | Iowa State Capitol Grounds, 1007 E Grand Ave, Des Moines, IA 50319
Iowa City | Bella Sala Event Center, 205 S Park Rd, Tiffin, IA 52340
Sioux City | Miracle Field, 1301 Riverside Blvd Sioux City, IA 51109

Event Details
Registration is FREE for all Wave of Light events. When you register, you will also have the opportunity to submit your angel’s name to be read aloud during the remembrance ceremony.
PLUS! Thanks to our partners at Owlet, any family that registers by September 15 will also have their angel's name(s) added to the Washington D.C. Wave of Light Remembrance Wall!
✨ In-person events begin at 6:30 PM with registration and reflection, followed by the candle lighting, opening remarks, and the reading of angel names at 7:00 PM CST.
✨ A virtual event with angel names read aloud will also begin promptly at 7:00 PM via YouTube. A link to the video will be available on the NFTS Facebook page and will be sent directly to all registered families.
Note: Registration and angel names must be submitted by midnight on October 8 to be included in the virtual ceremony. Families attending in person may register up until the night of the event.
Together — in Des Moines, Iowa City, Sioux City and around the world — we will shine light in the darkness, honoring every angel baby with love, remembrance, and community.
