Wave of Light 2026

A global tradition of remembrance

Thursday, October 15, 2026

Location TBD

A Night to Shine Light in the Darkness

October is recognized as National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, a time to break the silence and honor the millions of families impacted by loss.

Each year on October 15—National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day— families around the world gather for the International Wave of Light, a global remembrance ceremony where candles are lit for one hour in honor of babies gone too soon.

No Foot Too Small is honored to host annual Wave of Light ceremonies across Iowa and virtually, uniting families in grief, remembrance, and hope.

This event is free to attend. By joining together, we send a powerful message: though brief, these tiny lives left footprints that will never fade.

  • Offer families a safe, sacred space to grieve and remember
  • Honor every baby’s story with light, love, and community

With Gratitude

Thank you to our sponsors, partners, and families who make the Wave of Light possible. Together, we illuminate the darkness and honor the tiniest lives that continue to shine brightly.
