Celebrating Baby Speers
Baby Speers was supposed to be born May 2019. They would have shared a birth month with their sister, Cora, who was born May 2017. My pregnancy with Cora was less than smoothing sailing. From nine months of morning sickness, heparin shots in my stomach every day for blood clots, stroke symptoms, and iron infusions we loved her more and more every step of the way. Nothing scared us more than when I couldn't feel her moving so I went in just to be checked. When the nurse couldn't find her heartbeat for 20 mins they rushed me to ultrasound. We were so fortunate that her heart was still beating. I swore I would never want to go through anything like that again, but as time passed we decided to try for Baby Speers #2. To our surprise we succeeded and couldn't wait to tell family and friends. At 5 weeks I began feeling the stroke symptoms return with bleeding, and we lost our beautiful baby on my birthday. Even as an early loss Baby Speers was very loved, and we know they are our angel.
